Indicator: B5.1.2.1.2 - Recognise how to customise the Desktop Background using Change Background, Start menu and Pin to taskbar or start menu.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the Start menu, Taskbar, and Desktop Background on a Windows interface.
  2. Explain the function of the Start menu and the Taskbar in a Windows computer.
  3. Demonstrate how to open the Start menu and locate the Settings option.
  4. Recognise the steps for changing the Desktop Background using the Change Background setting.
  5. Explain what it means to “Pin to taskbar or start menu” and give an example of an app they would pin.
