Learning Objectives

Indicator: B5.1.1.1.6 - Introduction to Windows Interface.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify the main features of the Windows 10 interface, including the Start Menu, taskbar, desktop, and notification area.
  2. Describe the purpose of at least four Windows 10 features (Start Menu, Cortana, Xbox App, and Microsoft Edge browser).
  3. Explain at least two compatibility issues associated with Windows 10.
  4. Demonstrate basic navigation of the Windows interface by launching and closing an application.
  5. Work in small groups to practise software manipulation skills by exploring desktop icons and windows.
