Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
- Explain to children the key elements in all writing e.g. purpose, audience etc. These help to make the understanding of the text easy. That is, they play an integral part in the process. Guide learners to understand each key element. - Introduce learners to a variety of texts and registers which may be used in given situations. Have learners work in groups to write short texts on familiar topics.
