Indicator: B2.5.1.1.2 - Use capital letters to begin the first words of sentences
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the first word of a sentence in a simple written sentence.
- Rewrite sentences that begin with a small letter, using a capital letter for the first word.
- Write three simple sentences of their own, each beginning with a capital letter.
- Correct a short passage where the first words of sentences are not capitalised.
- Explain, in their own words, why every sentence must begin with a capital letter.
