Indicator: B2.2.7.2.4 - Read level-appropriate texts with little support
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read a level-appropriate text of 60 to 80 words aloud with little or no teacher support, using punctuation to guide their reading.
- Read the same text silently and identify the main idea in one complete sentence.
- Answer at least three factual questions about the text without referring back to the teacher for help.
- Read a short paragraph to a partner, self-correcting when they stumble on a word.
- Use pictures and headings to preview a text before reading it on their own.
