Indicator: B2.2.7.2.3 - Connect characters, ideas and information within a text
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the main characters in a level-appropriate text and state what each character does or says.
- Connect ideas from different parts of a text to explain how events are linked (e.g., a character’s action leads to a result).
- Link information given at the beginning of a text with information at the end to show how the text fits together.
- Answer questions that require joining details from two or more sentences or paragraphs to construct meaning.
- Work with a partner to explain how one part of a text helps them understand another part.
