By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least three basic needs of living things (food, water and air)
- Give a reason why each basic need is important for survival
- Sort pictures or objects of living things and identify what each one needs to stay alive
- Work in pairs to discuss what would happen to a living thing if it did not get food, water or air
- Use observation skills to notice that plants and animals all need the same basic things
