Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.4.2.4.2 - Recognise the need to drink water during and after physical activity.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least two reasons why the body needs water during and after physical activity.
- Explain what can happen to the body if a person does not drink water during exercise (for example, dehydration or heat stroke).
- Demonstrate the correct way to drink water during a physical activity break (small sips, not gulping).
- Identify times during a PE lesson when they should drink water (before, during, and after activity).
- Show willingness to drink water during and after physical activity in PE lessons.
