By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify objects and items around them that can be counted and recorded as data.
Collect data by counting different types of items in their classroom and school environment.
Record collected data accurately in a table or book using tally marks and numbers.
Talk about the different types of data they gathered and explain what the numbers tell them.
Work together in groups to collect and share data with the rest of the class.
