By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Read a simple passage containing blank spaces and identify which two or three letter word fits each gap.
Spell familiar two and three letter words correctly when writing them into blank spaces.
Use picture clues and sentence meaning to decide which word belongs in a blank space.
Write complete simple sentences by filling in missing words correctly.
