Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.5.1.1.2 - Use capital letters at the beginning of titles and names of people.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Identify capital letters at the beginning of people’s names in a list or sentence.
  • Write their own names and the names of classmates with a capital letter at the beginning.
  • Match titles (Mr, Mrs, Miss, Dr, Chief) with people’s names using capital letters correctly, e.g. Mr Badu, Mrs Darko.
  • Copy and complete short sentences using capital letters for people’s names and titles.
  • Point out when a name or title has been written without a capital letter and correct it.
