Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.1.6.1.4 - Use a wide variety of words to describe different situations and events

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Name at least five different situations or events shown on a conversational poster (e.g. naming ceremony, market day, football match, rainstorm, birthday party).
  • Use describing words (adjectives and action words) to talk about what people do and how they feel in different situations.
  • Produce at least two full sentences describing a situation or event, building on the greetings language learned in Week 3 and the describing language from Week 4.
  • Take part in a short role-play of a situation, using appropriate words and expressions to describe what is happening.
  • Listen to a partner describe an event and add one new describing word of their own, showing collaboration.
