Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.1.4.1.2 - Retell short stories
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Retell a short story they have heard in class, using picture prompts to guide the sequence of events.
- Arrange picture cards in the correct order to match the beginning, middle, and end of a story.
- Use simple connecting words such as “first,” “then,” and “finally” when retelling a story.
- Retell a familiar story from their own home or community, such as a folktale, with some accuracy.
- Join in with a relevant song when the storyteller pauses during a story retelling.
