Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.1.4.7.1 - Examine the displayed performing artworks and make decisions on the beauty and usefulness of each artwork based on the agreed guidelines

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Look carefully at displayed visual artworks using the class agreed guidelines and describe what they see, hear, or feel about each piece.
  2. Make simple decisions about whether an artwork is beautiful, useful, or both, and give at least one reason for their decision.
  3. Sort displayed artworks into those that are mainly beautiful, mainly useful, or both beautiful and useful.
  4. Talk about how one displayed artwork could be made more useful or more beautiful in the future.
  5. Work with a partner to share their views respectfully and listen to a friend’s opinion about the same artwork.
