Displaying and Sharing
Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B1.2.3.4.2 - Plan for a display of own performing artworks to share own creative experiences based on ideas that reflect the natural and manmade environments in the local community
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least two natural environments and two manmade environments in their local community from a short video or picture discussion.
- Select their own music, dance, or drama piece for a planned display, explaining one reason why it is creative and original.
- Arrange the order of three performing artworks (music, dance, drama) in a simple display plan, giving a reason for the order chosen.
- Work as a group to prepare a class notice that invites classmates or parents to the planned display.
- Describe, in one or two sentences, how their chosen artwork shares their views about the community’s environment.
This lesson builds directly on the planning skills introduced in Week 10, where learners planned displays based on history and culture. It stops short of Week 12, which will focus on topical issues, and later weeks where learners will actually perform.
